The quiet location off main roads, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the comfort of the rooms. The scrupulously clean and well-maintained indoor pool and sauna: very welcome after an long day's walking. The quality of the restaurant meals was uniformly excellent, the portions very generous and reasonably priced bearing in mind the quality and quantity on offer. The Ochsen represents good value for money considering the high quality of the accommodation and food. It is an excellent base for walking in the Hochschwarzwald area:a car is not necessary as the hotel is accessible by local bus from Titisee railway station. Highly recommended.

We loved being in the mountains for the peaceful location, stunning scenery, and access to forest trails for hiking and biking. The hotel was great for families as they provided kids' amenities like high chairs, playroom, and cots. The visitors' card was excellent value as we used it for transportation all around the area. The room was nice and large with a newly renovated bathroom featuring a walk-in shower.
Nothing bad to say.

Spent Christmas at this hotel nestled in the mountains. The forest trails offered superb hike and trail running. The location was so peaceful and the hotel and room were well-managed. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made me feel at home.
Sadly, the restaurant was not up to my expectations. The food was traditional but was very heavy and salty which I did not enjoy.

The hotel was located in a beautiful forest area with plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and even trail running. The surroundings were peaceful and serene, making it a great place to unwind. The hotel was also very family-friendly, providing necessary amenities for kids such as high chairs, playroom, and cot. the visitors card provided great value for money, allowing us to use buses and trains throughout the area.
The restaurant served traditional food, which was quite heavy and salty. there was an overwhelming number of items on the menu, making it difficult to choose.
